Reservation Sales Agents (downtown 4th Avenue Anchorage Sales Office)

  • Description: Reservations & Sales agents are responsible for making reservations on the 26 Glacier Cruise for phone and walk-in customers.

    Duties include collection of payment for bookings, replying to telephone and written inquiries, and tracking and logging the source of inquiries. Reservations agents work four, ten-hour shifts with three consecutive days off.

  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Be a self-directed team player with energy, enthusiasm and attention to detail
    • Possess strong telephone and in-person communication skills
    • Comfort with a variety of computer programs and applications
    • Capable of working with diverse ages and cultures. Foreign language is helpful.
    • Familiarity with Alaska is appreciated
    Candidates must have completed high school or be graduating in the spring of 2010. Our work season is approximately May 1st through September 20, 2010. Some training may be scheduled for April.

Passenger Service Crew (Whittier, Alaska 60 miles southeast of Anchorage)

  • Description: Phillips Cruises is currently offering seasonal positions for Passenger Service Crewmembers. We are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic and versatile team members that comprehend the meaning of customer service for the 2010 Summer Season. Experience Alaska working aboard a luxury catamaran.
    The P/V Klondike Express sails daily through Prince William Sound.

    Responsibilities include tending the bar, snack and sundrie sales, meal preparation and service, inventory, cleaning, general maintenance, line handling and vessel safety duties. An extensive personal contact with guests and providing narration and tour commentary is part of the required routine duties. Experience in these areas would be beneficial.

    Crew housing is available in Whittier, Alaska for a nominal fee. Applicants should be 21 years of age or older and be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Employees must adhere to a United States Coast Guard mandated pre-employment and random drug testing program.
